The GE VMIVME-2540 is a VME-bus intelligent counter/controller that provides high-precision digital measurement and generation capabilities. Orthogonal position control: ±1/4 wave control resolution, up to 1.25 MHz step rate, ±32767 steps per instruction.

Programmable outputs: Up to 24 discrete outputs, supporting pulse train mode, N-pulse of the train with programmable duty cycle.
Integer QPM group acquisition: Two integer QPM measurements are collected simultaneously.
Event trigger timer delay: A VMEbus interrupt occurs up to 131.1 seconds after the event edge is entered and can be triggered again.

CPU: Onboard 15 MHz 68HC000 CPU that directly configures and manages each STC interface.

Data exchange: 32-bit floating point arithmetic in accordance with ANSI/IEEE standard 754-1985.
Compatibility: Compatible with ANSI/IEEE 1014-1987 IEC 821 and 297 standards with VMEbus.
